We are looking to fill positions immediately!The Patient Advocate and Hospitality Assistant positions will require 12 hour shifts and applicants must have the availability to work a matrix schedule - including 3 shifts a week, including nights and weekends. Love what you do, and where you do it!Position Goals:This job description for the Patient Advocate at Hospitality Health ER provides criteria for the evaluation of the Patient Advocate position. The Patient Advocate at Hospitality Health ER functions include providing exceptional personalized service to all patients, guests, visitors, and staff of the facility. The Patient Advocate will strive to provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patients sense of comfort and dignity.Position Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Hospitality Manager, the Patient Advocate at Hospitality Health ER will be responsible for, but not limited to:1. Creating and maintaining a patient centered focus by engaging in a positive working relationship with all patients, visitors, and staff of the facility2. Prioritizing patient needs throughout the duration of their stay to include: answering questions and concerns; resolving any issues that may arise; running errands and providing meals3. Engaging with all patients, visitors and staff and providing a warm welcome; prepare and deliver refreshments4. Overseeing the organizing, planning and prioritization of workflow within the Hospitality Department5. Adhering to the mission and goals of Hospitality Health ER6. Planning daily tasks for the Hospitality Department; anticipating the facility and patient needs and volume in order to complete tasks timely and best offer the HHER experience7. Completing administrative tasks; must document and use logs appropriately such as the Van Usage Log and Credit Card Log, and must supply receipts/invoices and properly document usage related to HHER funds and resourcesPosition Requirements:The requirements for employment with Hospitality Health ER are:1. Customer service experience; demonstrated ability in customer service practice related to direct patient care in a high volume, high stress environment2. Critical thinking skills; ability to work autonomously and make efficient use of time and resources3. Understanding of clinical care and privacy4. Integrity and responsibility; will have access to company credit card and petty cash, and the company vehicle5. Current drivers license with no restrictions6. Ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and physicians7. Flexibility to meet scheduling demands of department8. Demonstrated competency of Physical Assessment within 90 days, as evaluated by Supervisor/Hospitality ManagerEducation/Experience:High School Graduate/EquivalentPrevious customer service experience, direct patient care preferredPhysical Demands: This position is expected to be physically demanding!Requires full range of body motionEye-hand coordinationStanding and walking for extensive period of timePushing and pullingClimbing (ascending and descending)Bending / StoopingUsing arm, leg and back muscles for extended periodsOccasionally lifts and carries items weighing greater than 50 poundsRequires corrected vision and hearing to within normal rangeRequires working under stressful conditionsWorking irregular hoursWorking with hazardous chemicalsPotential for cuts and bruisesRequires some exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluidsMust be able to handle patient emergencies and other unusual incidentsJob description statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this job title.
