ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Fully funded postdoctoral position is available in the Nir Lab within the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Our lab studies the relationship between genome organization and transcriptional activity and their influence on cell fate. We develop and utilize imaging, molecular genetics, and computational approaches to unravel the structure and function of chromosomes. Since we ask fundamental questions, we span a broad range of fields, including evolution, development, cancer, and virology. Therefore, we offer a variety of exciting and distinct positions with excellent opportunities to collaborate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

PhD

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in microscopy, Fluorescence in situ Hybridization, bioinformatics, and computational biology

SALARY:

Commensurate with experience
