SUMMARY To provide for the routine operation and minor
maintenance of university vehicles in the transportation of
materials or passengers.
Major Duties / Critical Tasks
Transfer patients and other assigned passengers on ans/or off
campus, assisting them in entering and exiting vehicle.
Deliver and/or retrieves materials as instructed.
Assists in the loading and unloading of materials from
Maintains daily log of mileage, number of trips,
passengers/cargo, destination, and fuel and oil consumptions.
Inspects condition of assigned vehicle on a regular basis with
regard to oil, fuel, tires and water.
Reports any needed adjustments or repairs to supervisors.
Adheres to internal controls established for departments
High School graduate and/or equivalent and one year related
experience required. Completion of defensive driver course within
30 days of hire. Must possess current Texas Class ''C'' driver''s
license, and a clean driving record.
Operation of vehicles, including trucks or vans.
Lift and move heavy objects. Drive vehicles under adverse
weather conditions and have the ability to cope with emergency
