This role provides a crucial function in our daily operations, ensuring timely, secure, and efficient transport of goods across multiple destinations. Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck and transport goods to and from specified locations maintaining strict schedules. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, complying with truck driving rules and regulations. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retaining fuel/toll receipts. Report defects, accidents, or violations and maintain a clean driving record. Handle paperwork involved with the transport of goods and interact professionally with customers and dispatchers. Profound knowledge of electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.) Ability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) Excellent organizational and time-management skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) No recent moving or driving violations Passed background check and drug test as required by federal and/or state regulations CPR and First Aid certification preferred
