customers. Class A Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities: The
following are some of the key duties and responsibilities of the
Richardson Terminal Class A truck driver. Proven work experience as
a flatbed driver Ability to drive for a full work shift 5 days per
week Knowledge of applicable driving rules and regulations per DOT
Long-distance driving. Communicating and coordinating with
dispatchers. Maintain effective communication with dispatchers to
receive instructions, and updates, and coordinate delivery
schedules. Ability to communicate effectively with customers in a
professional manner. Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
Familiar with state and federal regulations governing commercial
vehicles. Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it
within the vehicle. Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in
compliance with state and federal regulations. Keep accurate
records of working hours to comply with state and federal
regulations, such as the Hours of Service (HOS) rules. Ensuring any
mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to identify any mechanical issues with
the vehicle. Ensure that any problems are addressed before starting
the workday. Efficiently plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
Strive to meet delivery deadlines while ensuring safety. Loading
and unloading cargo using equipment such as forklifts or pallet
jacks. Possess the necessary skills to operate these tools safely.
Performing daily maintenance of the truck performing routine
maintenance tasks on their vehicles, such as refueling, cleaning,
checking fluid levels, and inspecting tires. Recording cargo
delivery Accurate record, document details such as delivery times,
locations, signatures, and any special instructions related to
cargo deliveries. Verifying loads for accuracy, loaded cargo
matches the accompanying documentation. Class A Truck Driver
Essential Skills and Qualifications: Strong knowledge of safety
regulations A clean driving record. Must meet physical
requirements. Hand-eye coordination Visual and hearing acuity
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations

SCHEDULE: 1st shift, occasional weekends. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Valid CDL driving license Class A Must have, or ability to obtain a
TWIC Card Must be Enrolled in the Clearinghouse Ability to work
overtime during the week or on weekends. Strong oral and written
communication skills. Must be able to read, write, and perform
basic math. Resourceful, well-organized, and dependable. Excellent
communication skills. High School or Equivalent. Competencies:
Understand both general and technical oral and written
communications. Knowledge of Spanish, both oral and written, is a
plus. Time Management: Values time and manages it effectively.
Effectively prioritizes and can manage a broad range of activities.
Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. PHYSICAL
DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this
position, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands,
handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The work
environment involves hazards, risks, or discomforts typical of
working around with or around machinery with exposed moving parts,
arrant chemicals, heavy equipment, extreme heights, or abusive or
hostile clientele and patients. Exposure to disagreeable weather
conditions and extreme levels of temperature, ventilation,
lighting, and sound is normal. The noise level in the work
environment is usually moderate.
