Role Description
The role of an Infrastructure Technology Systems Analyst within the
High Frequency Trading environment is responsible for activities
relating to the implementing and maintenance of platforms which are
purpose-built in support of the Markets and Trading applications.
You will have the opportunity to work with our global internal and
external partners to drive future improvements in the performance
of our technology infrastructure platforms, ensuring that we are
increasing the reliability and optimizing its capacity. The overall
objective is to use infrastructure technology knowledge and
identified policies to build a secure, stable and efficient
operating environment for our business to function and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve new servers Design per Low Latency Linux
standards with project manager and other infrastructure
personnel's.
- Build, configure and tune servers as per the application
requirement.
- Review requirement documents, define hardware requirements and
update processes and procedures as necessary.
- Setup, Configure, manage and troubleshoot of Veritas volume
manager and VCS cluster systems.
- Plan, participate and support activities related to the
Disaster Recovery testing, Data center migration and document the
results.
- Apply vulnerability patches with approved patch bundle to be in
compliant.
- Firmware deployment support for Client ILO and IDRAC.
- Co-ordinate with various teams to resolve issues and deliver
project on time.
- Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) post restoration of
service.
- Design testing approaches, complex processes, reporting
streams, and assist with the automation of repetitive tasks.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Willing to work after hours and weekends or be on-call if
needed
- Conduct project related research
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made,
demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation
and safeguarding Client , its clients and assets, by driving
compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to
Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal
behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing
and reporting control issues with transparency.
- Handle issues and escalations, as well as resolve production
problems, reporting to management on status and technical
matters.
- Plan and implement improved processes, backup and recovery
plans, and uniform methodologies and standards Technical Skills
- Good understanding of RedHat Linux 7/8, CoreOS and
Openshift.
- Good understanding of Network and Domain Services (AD,
DNS)
- Be able to create simple automation scripts using Ansible or
other scripting language like Python, Bash
- Good understanding of network protocols and tools used to
troubleshoot issues
- Good to have and a willingness to learn the internal and vendor
purpose-built technologies that are required in support of the High
Frequency trading platform. Skills / Experience Levels
- A minimum of 5 years RedHat Linux System Administrator
experience
- Ability to work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under
pressure / to a deadline.
- You have good communication skills with the ability to
articulate clearly in high stress situations.
- You enjoy learning and love sharing your knowledge with
others.
- You work independently and are self-directed.
- You are a detail oriented and perseverant individual.

- You have skills and proficiency with MS PowerPoint, Excel,
Access or other analytical tools.
- You have a Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or Engineering
degree preferred) or equivalent work experience.
