burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and
pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for
a remote HR Training & Development Specialist reporting into our
Headquarters location.The HR Training and Development Specialist
will be responsible for writing, curating, and synthesizing content
into easy-to-understand and meaningful learning experiences for
Shriners Children's. As an expert trainer and facilitator, the
Specialist will also be responsible for delivering content via
multiple modalities. The subject matter ranges from technical
skills training to soft skills training to HR technology, with a
heavy influence on onboarding and orientation. The position
requires regional travel estimated at 25%.Shriners Children's is an

training and learner objectives to meet specific business
goals.Design and develop learning solutions and programs that best
fit the needs of the learner in all formats including
online/self-paced, virtual instructor-led, in-person
instructor-led, and blended learning.Adjust as needed per
continuous improvement expectations and Shriners Children's
culture.Create delivery and deployment programs to ensure learning
transfer is successful.Document results via survey
creation/execution and reporting to ensure business goals are met;
identify, plan and implement continuous learning
opportunities.Experience Required/Preferred:5 years of experience
supporting a training/learning organization; or any combination of
education and/or experience which would provide an equivalent
backgroundEducation Required/Preferred:Bachelor's in Human
Resources, Training/Education, Communications, Marketing or a
related field requiredAPTD, CPTD, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR
certification a plusKnowledge, Skills & Competencies:Demonstrates
and utilizes effective needs analysis, project management, course
development, and evaluation skills.Collaborates with business
leaders and subject matter experts to understand the business needs
and goals as the basis for training design.Understands and applies
adult learning principles and practices.Uses systematic
instructional design methodology to create an end-to-end learning
experience.Develops content in one or more major online authoring
tools (fluency in Articulate 360 preferred).Can independently
develop entry and advanced level courses.Creates exercises,
tutorials, job aids, assessments, and other methods of learning
including social or connected learning strategies, and
multimedia-based assets.Proofreads and edits own work and the work
of others to improve quality, readability, consistency, and
effectiveness of documentation/communication.Collaborates with
other content developers, graphic designers, technology
consultants, and other project team members on the design,
development, implementation, and evaluation of learning
solutions.Easily works with a wide range of subject matter
experts.Can handle ambiguity and fast pace. Willingness to speak up
and ask questions.Prioritizes and organizes effectively.Adapts to
changing business needs and priorities.Works effectively with
diverse and remote team members.Current full Covid vaccination
status required
