What You Will Be Doing
Tasks Will Include (but Are Not Limited To)
The HR Generalist will serve as the main point of contact for employees queries on HR related topics. In this role youll undertake a wide range of HR tasks including organizing trainings, administering employee benefits and leaves, and crafting HR policies.

  • Using Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential
  • Onboarding (New Hire Processing, E-Verify, I-9 documentation, background checks, drug screens)
  • Ensuring that payroll procedures are compliant and efficient
  • Reviewing compensation and benefits (salary adjustments, promotions)
  • Identifying employee skills gaps and recommending training where it is needed
  • Assisting with reward + recognition programs
  • Making recommendations on market competitive salaries in accordance with market conditions
  • Assisting with PTO tracking
  • Ordering office supplies as needed
  • Preparing relevant weekly/monthly/quarterly/year-end reports
    What You Need for this Position
    3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist and:
    • Bachelors Degree PREFERRED
    • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
    • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
    • HRIS systems experience (e.g. PeopleSoft) is a PLUS
    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
    • Experience with certified payroll reports, municipality reporting, and prevailing wages
    • Extensive knowledge of payroll processing including preparation and balancing
    • Must possess Davis Bacon/Certified Payroll knowledge and experience
    • Must possess strong integrity + ethics in the interest of employee confidentiality
    • Must be a strong employee advocate
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent time management/deadline management skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Willingness to learn new technical systems as needed
    • Reliable transportation
    • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
    • Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) is a PLUS
