kitchen staff at Mia's Table plays a vital role in ensuring the
smooth and efficient operations of the restaurant's kitchen. They
are responsible for various tasks to assist in food preparation and
maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. The
key duties and responsibilities of kitchen staff at Mia's Table
include: Food preparation: Assisting in the preparation of
ingredients, such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and
following recipe instructions provided. Cooking and grilling:
Operating kitchen equipment, such as stoves, ovens, and grills, to
cook and prepare food items according to Mia's Table recipes and
standards. Stocking and inventory: Ensuring the availability of all
necessary ingredients, supplies, and equipment by overseeing
inventory levels and communicating with the kitchen manager or
managing partner. Restocking items as needed. Station set-up:
Setting up workstations with necessary ingredients, utensils, and
equipment to facilitate smooth and efficient food preparation. Food
storage and organization: Properly storing food items in designated
areas, adhering to food safety guidelines to maintain freshness and
prevent cross-contamination. Labeling and dating food items to
ensure proper rotation and minimizing waste. Cleaning and
sanitization: Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in
the kitchen by regularly cleaning work areas, equipment, and
utensils. Following food safety regulations and guidelines to
ensure a safe and healthy working environment. Collaboration and
teamwork: Coordinating and communicating with other kitchen staff
members, such as chefs, sous chefs, and dishwashers, to ensure
timely and efficient food preparation and service. Following
recipes and guidelines: Adhering to Mia's Table recipes, portion
sizes, and presentation standards to deliver consistent quality
food to customers. Quality control: Assisting in quality control by
inspecting food items for freshness, taste, and presentation before
they are served to customers. Addressing any issues or concerns to
the kitchen supervisor or manager. Safety and compliance: Following
all health and safety regulations, including proper use of kitchen
equipment, proper storage of chemicals, and adherence to fire
safety measures. Qualifications and Skills: Must be at least 18
years of age. Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation
role is preferred but not always required. On-the-job training will
be provided. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle
multiple tasks simultaneously. Physical stamina to stand for long
periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks. Strong
teamwork and communication skills. Knowledge of kitchen equipment
and utensils. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
as required in a restaurant setting. Attention to detail and a
commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and
presentation. Food Handlers Certification required.
