Job Summary and Qualifications Every heartbeat matters—and as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, you’ll be part of the team that protects them. In this role, you’ll stand alongside physicians and colleagues to deliver advanced care during lifesaving cardiac procedures. From guiding patients and families through their journey to ensuring precision in every step of treatment, you’ll bring both skill and compassion to moments that improve more lives in more ways. What you will do in this role: Responsible for assisting the R.N. in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of the Cath Lab patient. Manages all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment in the Cath Lab. Participates in activities to plan, measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care. Assists the physician with all procedures performed in the Cath Lab. Is able to function in a Code Blue situation. Is able to function in a call-out situation by scrubbing and running the table (x-ray). Competently operates radiologic equipment and possesses trouble shooting skills. Able to scrub all procedures in Cath Lab. Operates hemodynamic monitoring computer during cases. Performs decentralized testing, according to protocol. What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Two years’ experience as a CVT, preferably in a Cath Lab setting preferred, One year is required. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (ARRT-R) Radiography and (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist HCA Houston Healthcare Mainland , a campus of HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake , has been serving Texas City, Texas for more than 60 years—bringing compassionate, “patients first” care into Galveston County and the surrounding communities.
