Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Technician - Interventional Radiology /n/n Job Details: /n • Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with on-call responsibilities required /n• 13-week assignment with guaranteed 40 hours per week /n• Must have Associate of Applied Science degree or be a graduate of an accredited Radiology Program /n• 3 years of experience required /n• Required certifications: American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT-R), American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT-VI) or (ARRT-CV), Texas Medical Board Certification (MRT), and BLS from American Heart Association /n• ACLS/PALS preferred but not required /n• Work attire consists of Galaxy Blue scrubs /n• Operate ultrasonographic units, fluoroscopic units, CT equipment of various vendors, Electronic Health Record, and PACS systems /n• Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 50 pounds /n• Must be able to walk long distances and stand continuously for up to 240 minutes /n• May be exposed to occupational hazards including communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation, hazardous medications, and disoriented or combative patients /n• Holiday rotation requirements as needed /n• Participate in HCSS virtual orientation and Epic training at UTMB Galveston campus /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical services including advanced interventional radiology capabilities.
