Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel Special Procedures Technologist for a travel job in Galveston, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Special Procedures Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: \n Technician - Interventional Radiology \n\n Job Details: \n • Work 8-hour day shifts Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM \n• 40 guaranteed hours per week (no guaranteed hours for first 2 weeks of contract) \n• 13-week contract assignment starting ASAP \n• On-call responsibilities required every 4 weeks \n• Float to units with similar skill set as needed \n• Complete routine to complex body and neuro-interventional procedures \n• Provide direct assistance to physicians with all interventional procedures \n• Work attire consists of Galaxy Blue scrubs \n• Use ultrasonographic units, fluoroscopic units, CT equipment, electronic health records, and PACS systems \n• Must be able to push or pull minimum of 50 pounds \n• Must be able to walk long distances and stand continuously for 240 minutes \n• May be exposed to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, radiation, and hazardous medications \n• Required certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-VI, or ARRT-CV and Texas Medical Board Certification (MRT) \n• BLS from American Heart Association required; ACLS/PALS preferred \n• 3 years of interventional radiology experience required (neurovascular and VIR) \n• Associate of Applied Science or graduate of accredited radiology program required \n\n Facility: \n This academic medical center is a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services and advanced interventional radiology procedures.
