The University of Texas Medical Branch - UTMB Health is a multibillion-dollar health science center comprised of four schools, three institutes and over 10 exceptional research centers. UTMB's Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Endocrinology - At UTMB, the Division of Endocrinology provides both inpatient and outpatient referral-based clinical care in all areas of Endocrinology. Our outpatient services are in Galveston, League City, Friendswood, and Angleton, providing easy access for patients residing in Galveston County and the South Houston metropolitan area. - The Stark Diabetes Center is in our League City clinics and provides integrative patient care working closely with a variety of medical and surgical specialties involved in prevention of diabetes and its complications. - Our faculty includes basic science researchers, clinician scientists and full-time clinicians dedicated to both patient care and teaching.
Endocrinologist Faculty Opportunity - the successful candidate should expect to perform 9 half-days of out-patient clinics, to participate in weekend rotation for inpatient consults, and to be an instructor/mentor for medical students, Internal Medicine Residents and Endocrinology Fellows. - Clinical practice experience is preferred but not mandatory as new Fellows are encouraged to apply. - All candidates must possess an M.D. degree or equivalent, completed an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine Residency program, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and be able to obtain an unrestricted state of Texas Medical license. -
