Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost. Position Overview We are seeking a talented civil drafter to join our team who will assist us in preparing the drawings for site preparation, grading, drainage, paving, and roads. The civil drafter will produce detailed and accurate drawings, and portions of the 3D models, that comply with all the civil design criteria. The candidate must be detail oriented, willing to use basic geometric math, and can visualize the geometry in 3 dimensions. The candidate must also be highly motivated, be willing to coordinate with other disciplines, and be able to keep track of multiple tasks with separate deadlines. This position will report to the Manager of Civil Engineering. This position is located in Downtown Houston and is a Monday-Friday in office position. This position is considered entry level. Key Responsibilities: Prepare sketches and the 2D portions of our detailed design drawings Assist the lead civil designer and civil engineer with preparing and issuing the detailed design drawing. This includes preparing plans, details, general notes, profiles, cross sections, legends, key plans, and schedules. Assist the lead designer with aspects of 3D modeling in Civil 3D Checking and back checking drawings Help resolve design clashes between disciplines Help coordinate document reviews with other disciplines Assist with uploading our documents into our document control system Help fulfill requests made by other disciplines Qualifications: Have 1 or more of the following drafting and design credentials, or similar: Associates Degree, or higher, in a Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD / CAD) related degree Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in AutoCAD Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in Civil 3D 1 to 3 years of work experience in preparing civil site development drawings Oil and gas experience preferred Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD Venture Global LNG is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
