Job Description Job Description Field Service Technicians (Industrial Valves) Automation Personnel Services is looking for Field Service Technicians for a company based in Houston, TX. This role supports critical operations at ports, refineries, and industrial facilities, performing installation, testing, troubleshooting, and rebuilding valve and actuator systems — including new FCC unit valves. If you enjoy technical field work, solving mechanical challenges, and working in environments where precision matters, this is a strong fit. Pay Rate $25-$30 per hour/DOE Schedule and Hours Monday through Friday (sometimes Saturday's) 7AM to 7PM (subject to change) Field Service Technicians Duties and Responsibilities • Install, service, and maintain actuators, control valves, and valve assemblies • Perform engineeringrelated tasks, including system testing, calibration, and diagnostics • Support manufacturing, assembly, and functional testing of new valve and actuator systems • Work on FCC unit valves, including setup, commissioning, and performance verification • Conduct rebuilding and refurbishment of valves and actuator systems • Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues in the field • Complete service reports, documentation, and customer communication • Follow all safety protocols while working in refineries, ports, and industrial environments • Travel to customer sites as required; work extended shifts (12 hours) when needed Field Service Technicians Qualifications and Requirements • Minimum 2 years of experience working with actuators, valves, or related mechanical systems • TWIC card required (due to work at ports and refineries) • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical drawings • Experience with testing, calibration, and troubleshooting • Ability to work long shifts and adapt to changing field conditions • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Must pass drug screening (DISA) and background check Job Type Full-time, Temporary to Permanent Benefits • Weekly Pay • Medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance • 40 Hours Service Bonus after 1 year of continuous service and 1500 hours • 6 paid Holidays after 1 year of continuous service and 1500 hours 401(k) Retirement Plan Automation Personnel Services is the only staffing agency specializing in manufacturing and industrial roles that offers 401(k) matching to all eligible contingent and temporary associates.
