people turn their financial dreams into realities About The Role As
a Manager in Institutional Services , you will provide leadership,
direction and support regarding exception cases, escalations, best
practices, and legal/regulatory guidelines/changes for our
organization’s Consulting Services, Plan Terminations, and Deferred
Compensation teams, as well as assist with high touch, high profile
clients. You will be a subject matter expert on regulations,
corrections, deferred compensation plans and compliance issues for
our Company. Stay current on changing retirement plan regulatory
requirements, provide training to teams, and work closely with our
legal team, field partners and clients. Ensure organizational
objectives are met by planning, directing, and controlling the
activities of your teams. Responsibilities Have experience with
diverse plan types: 403(b), 401(k), governmental, church, and
nonqualified plans under IRC 457(b), 457(f), 409(A) and 415(m), as
well as plan terminations. Understand ERISA and non-ERISA
requirements, DOL regulations and the IRS correction program under
EPCRS Maintain a deep understanding of nonqualified plans and the
relevant tax regulations, including Section 409(A) Facilitate
technical training for team members, including requirements driven
by regulatory and law changes Ensure team performance meets
standards by performing quality reviews and tracking internal
metrics Seek to understand, acknowledge and respond to issues and
business challenges faced by internal/external clients Create,
monitor and follow-up utilizing project plans and available tools
Communicate and present confidently on strategies for complex
retirement plan issues to high profile clients Identify, implement
and oversee process improvements to increase efficiencies and
quality of work teams generate Skills and Qualifications Current
CPC, QPA, QKC or QKA ASPPA designation 10 years related experience
in the retirement industry Leadership and management capabilities
that drives results Strong retirement plan knowledge and experience
required Client-facing and consulting experience required Project
management experience preferred Strong research, analytical and
critical thinking skills Ability to mitigate risks with internal
controls and process management Excellent communication skills –
written, verbal and interpersonal High level of initiative and
ability to work independently with minimal guidance and direction
Work Location This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s
Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy,
