Senior Accountant Location: Downtown Houston, TX (Fully Onsite) We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join the accounting and finance team of a well-established organization located in downtown Houston . This role offers the opportunity to contribute in a more advanced capacity within a complex operating environment, supporting both accounting operations and financial analysis for a business with approximately $400M in annual revenue. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration, working closely with experienced leadership in a fully onsite, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute month-end close activities, including complex journal entries and account reconciliations Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations Support internal and external financial reporting requirements Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit inquiries Partner with finance and operational teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Identify process improvement opportunities and support system enhancements Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Progressive accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred but not required What the Company Offers Exposure to both accounting and finance functions within a sizable organization Collaborative leadership team that values knowledge sharing and professional development Hands-on involvement in financial operations and reporting Fully onsite role in downtown Houston with long-term growth opportunities This position is ideal for candidates seeking to apply their accounting expertise while gaining broader exposure to finance in a structured, professional environment.
