Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and
compliance with applicable financial reporting standards and
business policies. Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end
closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries
and reconciliations for various accounts. Assist with internal and
external audits, providing necessary information and answering
auditors' questions. Collaborate with other finance team members to
support overall department goals and objectives. Monitor and
analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and
use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Advise
staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
Respond to inquiries from the Director of Finance, and other
finance and firm-wide managers regarding financial results, special
reporting requests, etc. Work with the Controller to ensure a clean
and timely year-end audit. Assist in the development and
implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the
workflow of the department. Provide training to new and existing
staff as needed. Work with each direct report to establish goals
and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress
to enhance the professional development of staff. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred. A
minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or related field.
Proficient in preparing financial statements and understanding of
GAAP. Demonstrated ability to calculate, post and manage accounting
figures and financial records. High proficiency in MS Office
(especially Excel) and familiarity with relevant computer software
(e.g., SAP). Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to direct and
supervise. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting
principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. High level
of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and
