Cath Lab Tech Location: Houston, TX Agency: United Health Care Staffing Pay: $67 per hour Shift Information: Days Contract Duration: 13 Days Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Cath Lab Technologist – UHC Staffing Cath Lab Technologist Location: Houston, TX Start Date: 03-23-2026 End Date: 06-22-2026 Shift Type: Days, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Day shift). Position uses 8/10/12-hour day shift options with a typical 10-hour shift pattern and guaranteed 40 hours per week. On-call 4-5 times per month including at least one weekend per month. Roles & Responsibilities Perform and assist with cardiac catheterization procedures and related cath lab interventions with precision and compassion Support electrophysiology and interventional radiology cases as needed to deliver comprehensive cardiac care Operate and maintain cath lab equipment, ensuring safety and readiness for each procedure Document patient care and procedure details accurately in Epic to support continuity and quality Respond to on-call assignments in a timely, professional manner and provide high-quality patient care during emergent situations Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and techs to optimize patient outcomes Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and unit protocols to protect patients and staff Qualifications Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI required BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of relevant cath lab or cardiovascular technologist experience Experience with Epic electronic medical records preferred Familiarity with cardiac catheterization, EP, and IR procedures Ability to participate in on-call rotation including weekends License to submit is required; BSN is not required Education Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) training or equivalent clinical certificate preferred RCIS certification required; BSN not required Knowledge & Skills Cardiac catheterization and cath lab procedures Electrophysiology and interventional radiology case support Proficiency with Epic charting and documentation workflows Radiation safety, sterile technique, and procedural instrumentation Patient monitoring, hemodynamic assessment, and ECG interpretation basics Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking under pressure Benefits Supportive team environment where your skills are valued and you can grow Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage to keep you healthy Paid time off so you can recharge and be your best for patients Licensure assistance and certification support including RCIS guidance Structured orientation and mentorship to get you comfortable and confident Opportunities for professional development and continuing education Referral recognition program to reward teammates who bring great people A reliable schedule with guaranteed hours to help you plan your life Travel Perks: Explore Houston, TX Explore Houston between shifts.
